Definition:-
It shows that an action takes place in the present. But we don’t know the exact time of the action.

If the subject is singular , there should be ‘s’ to the verb.

Passive Voice:-
A poem has been written by Harry.
Occasions:-
Harry has been ill since Monday. (It is used to indicate an action which started in the past and still going on).

It shows an action took place in the past, still it continuing and it may continuous in the future also.

Past Perfect.

If there are two actions in the past and they have sufficient interval, then the first action should be in the past perfect and second should be in simple past.

Subject + had + Past participle form of the verb + Object.
Positive Sentence:-
When John reached railway station the train had already left.
Passive Voice:-
A letter had written by Maria when I reached her house.
Past Perfect Continuous.
Definition:-
It shows that an action continuous in the past for a long time before another action.

It shows that takes place in the future.
